Villeneuve and its surroundings

The B&B Les Jardins de la Livrée are located in a very rich historical environment. Villeneuve lez Avignon is home to magnificent historic buildings, such as the Val de Bénédiction Chartreuse, the Collegiate Church of Notre Dame, the Royal Fort of Saint Andre and the Philippe le Bel Tower. For art lovers, the Pierre-de-Luxembourg Museum houses gorgeous works from religious institutions, such as "The Virgin Coronation" (painting here). And not to mention the Provencal market on Thursday morning!

We recommend walking to visit Avignon. We are only 3 km, or 1/2 hour, passing by the Collegiate Church and the tower Philippe le Bel. In addition to the Palais des Papes and the Pont Saint Bénezet which are must-see attractions, do not forget the Petit Palais museum where an exceptional collection of medieval paintings is displayed.

If you want to go back in time, you should visit the Antique Theater of Orange, the Arena of Nîmes, the Square House, the Tour Magne, the Pont du Gard, the Mausoleum of Jules in Saint Rémy de Provence, Arles and many other places ...
